Hi.

Campaign poster for Johnny Ferry, promoting a pleasant view of the city council.

I‘m

Johnny Ferry

My message is simple…let’s build a Pleasant View that is every bit as wonderful as its name suggests. I’m running for City Council to represent and serve the citizens of Pleasant View.

I am a long-term resident of Pleasant View, a local family-business owner, a good neighbor, and a community volunteer.

I believe the success of our Pleasant View City Council should be measured by the following key areas (these are the things that are important to me):

Quality of Living

Public Safety, Housing, Services, Events

Civic Governance

Voting, Resident Engagement, Transparency

Economic Vitality

Business Health, Tax Base, Planning, City Code

Youth Engagement

Leadership, Sports, Clubs, Parks, Recreation

Care of Resources

Water, Energy, Waste, Recycling

Infrasture & Services

Roads, Utilities, Emergency Response

My Family

Jennifer and I just celebrated 25 years of marriage. Jen teaches at Majestic Elementary and we love our kids:

Austin is in sales at JD Machine.

Maddy is a producer at KSL.

J.Y. just returned from a mission to Chile and is attending Utah State.

Gibson just graduated from Weber High and is on his way to serve a mission to Chile.

Bella just started at Weber High and loves to dance.

My Background

I was born and raised on a five-generation ranch, JY Ferry & Sons, in West Corinne. We manage a feedlot for thousands of livestock, grow crops for feed and local mills, run farming conservation efforts, and manage hunting grounds.

After high school, I served a mission in Toronto, Canada (Chinese Speaking), then married my high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and we both graduated from BYU.

My Work

Honeyville, Inc. is our family-owned company with nearly 500 employees across multiple states with corporate headquarters here in Utah at the Ogden Business Depot.

We manufacture a variety of food products for major consumer brands. I am the VP of Business Development and have been with Honeyville for over 20 years.

My Community

I’m honored to be a part of several amazing organizations, but it is really the quiet acts of kindness and the passion of those that I serve with that makes all the difference.
